Alimatu Issahak

Board Member

Alimatu Issahak is a dynamic human resource and operations professional with over a decade of progressive experience across the private sector, education, and public administration. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Ghana’s School of Public Health, where her research focuses on developing effective emergency preparedness systems within Ghana’s public sector, combining policy, health, and institutional governance.

In her role as Operations and Human Resource Manager at Caer Limited and VN7 Limited, Alimatu leads organizational strategy, workforce planning, policy implementation, and operational efficiency. She oversees budgeting, compliance, safety protocols, and performance management, ensuring that business operations are aligned with evolving regulatory and organizational needs.

Her prior experience includes working as a teaching and experiential learning assistant at the University of Ghana, where she supported academic delivery and research coordination. She has also held human resource leadership roles at Mawums Limited, Little Explorers Montessori Plus, and Summit American School, where she designed talent management systems, led employee training initiatives, and contributed to institutional accreditation and compliance processes.

Alimatu earned her MSc in Oil and Gas Management from Coventry University in the United Kingdom, where she focused on designing public health preparedness systems for local governments. She is certified by the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety in the UK and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from Christian Service University College in Kumasi.

Beyond her professional and academic achievements, Alimatu is actively engaged in leadership and development initiatives. She participated in the Model African Union at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, the China-Africa Young Leaders Forum in Namibia, and a sustainable development program in China. She served as Vice President of the All African Students Society at Coventry University and was elected General Secretary of the Student Representative Council at Christian Service University College. She also served as Administrator at the National Union of Ghana Students, where she oversaw national coordination, documentation, and communication for the secretariat.

Alimatu brings to every role a deep understanding of organizational systems, workforce development, and public service. Her expertise spans risk management, HSE policy integration, strategic communication, and performance improvement. Known for her collaborative spirit and commitment to equity and inclusion, she continues to build a career at the intersection of human capital strategy, academic research, and national development.
