Dr. Daniel K. Seddoh is a financial services leader and boardroom strategist with over two decades of experience spanning pensions, insurance, banking, finance and leasing. He currently serves as the Board Chair of a Venture Capital Trust Fund, bringing to the role a blend of regulatory depth, executive leadership, and strong governance capability built across key financial institutions and private sector boards.
A KPMG trained Chartered Accountant, Dr. Seddoh’s career has been defined by disciplined financial stewardship, risk oversight and strategic leadership. He is known for his tenure as Chief Executive Officer of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority, where he provided executive direction and sector oversight within Ghana’s pensions industry, and for his service at Universal Merchant Bank during a critical transition period as Acting Managing Director. His engagement with Universal Merchant Bank also included four years as a Board Member and Audit Committee Chairman, a role in which he led oversight of audit governance, internal controls, and financial reporting, experience that has strengthened his record in board assurance and accountability.
Beyond banking and pensions, Dr. Seddoh’s relationship with the insurance industry spans more than twenty years, reinforced by his current role as an Executive Director of Riscovery Limited, an insurance brokerage and consultancy firm. He also contributes to corporate growth and governance through his present appointments as a Non Executive Director of Databank MFund Limited and Kasapreko Company Limited. His broader board leadership includes having served as Board Chairman of Millennium Insurance Company Limited and Appointed Time Screen Printing Company Limited, as well as Board Chairman of All Terrain Services Limited, a hospitality company operating in over ten countries across Africa, underscoring his versatility and ability to provide oversight across diverse business contexts
Dr. Seddoh’s academic formation reflects the same depth and international exposure that characterizes his professional journey. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Manchester Business School and a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Bradford, both in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana, and he serves as the representative of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana on a board.
