Kofi S. Yamoah is the immediate-past Managing Director of the Ghana Stock Exchange. He is a product of: Mfantsipim School, Cape Coast; University of Ghana Business School, Legon; and the China Europe International Business School. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Administration (Accounting) from the University of Ghana and an MBA from the China Europe International Business School. He is a chartered accountant (ICA Ghana) and an investment banker. Mr. Yamoah’s career with the Ghana Stock Exchange dated back to December 1990 and he served in various capacities including Presiding Officer on the Trading Floor, Financial Controller, Head of Listings and General Manager. He was appointed Managing Director of the Exchange in April 2003 and served in that capacity up to his retirement in July 2019.
Mr. Yamoah has a great understanding of the running of financial markets through extensive executive training and study tours of many such institutions in Africa, the US, Europe, and Asia. Aside of VCTF, Mr. Yamoah serves on the boards of Absa Ghana Ltd and the Accra Institute of Technology.
