Percival is a seasoned finance and investment professional with extensive expertise in private capital investments, risk management and legal advisory practice. He joined the Venture Capital Trust Fund as the General Manager in April 2024. In addition to his finance background, Percival is a qualified lawyer specializing in corporate and commercial practice and was previously with Sam Okudzeto & Associates. He is a member of the Ghana Bar Association.
Before joining VCTF, Percival held executive leadership roles in some of Ghana’s largest financial institutions. He was the General Manager of a leading Asset Management Company, where he oversaw major private equity investments in financial services and agro-related businesses.
Percival’s experience in private capital investments are deep and extensive. As Deputy General Manager and Head of Investments at VCTF, he provided strategic leadership for high-risk financial assets, including venture capital funds, angel investments, and impact investment vehicles. His expertise in business valuation and investment appraisal has been applied both in Ghana and the United States, where he worked in investment banking.
Beyond his corporate roles, Percival has served as a Board Member of the Ghana Alternative Exchange (GAX) and currently sits on the boards of six companies. He is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and an expert in corporate consulting for mid-cap clients.
His academic credentials include a Private Equity and Venture Capital Certificate from Harvard Business School and a Venture Capital Executive Education Certificate from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley. He also holds a Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law, an LLB (Honours) from GIMPA Law School, an MSc in Finance from the University of Durham Business School (UK), and a BSc (Honours) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from KNUST, Ghana.
Outside of work, Percival is an avid golfer and has served as Honorary Secretary of Achimota Golf Club for several years.
